Victoria Pettersen Lantz (she/her/hers) is a scholar, dramaturg, and artist living in East Texas, and is an Associate ProfessorTheatre and Musical Theatre at Sam Houston State University, where she also directs/devises. She serves as the coordinator of the Theatre Teacher Certification BFA, immediate past co-chair of Representation, Equity and Diversity with Region VI KCACTF, and the Theatre History Focus Group Conference Planner for the Association for Theatre in Higher Education. Vicky is on the conference planning committee for the American Society of Theatre Research (ASTR) and coordinate one of ASTR’s feminist theatre working groups. Recent work includes dramaturging at American Players Theatre, articles in Popular Culture Review, The Journal of Popular Culture, and Performance and the Disney Theme Park Experience: The Tourist as Actor. She is the co-editor of the Routledge collection Nationalism and Youth in Theatre and Performance. She works on performance art about the female body and writing on tourism, theatre, and performance. When not teaching or working on projects, Vicky is probably on Zoom, playing D&D.
