KCACTF NPP National Chair
Richard “Buzz” Herman is Professor Emeritus of Theatre and Dance at the University of Central Missouri. Buzz currently serves as the NPP National Chair for KCACTF. He is past Region V Chair of NPP, has served a member of the Region V Selection Team. He has received three KCACTF Meritorious Achievement Awards for Directing and served as director for Blue Window which was a Region V Invited Festival Production in 2013. Buzz has directed or acted in over 150 university and professional productions. His teaching honors include the Speech and Theatre Association of Missouri Outstanding Teacher Award, the Missouri Governor’s Award for Teaching Excellence, and the University of Central Missouri’s highest teaching honor, The Byler Distinguished Faculty Award.
